Halloween!

This was our first time going to a trunk or treat together and it was a blast!  Halloween is not my favorite holiday...but it would be if it weren't for all of the horrible scary/gory stuff.  I hate it.  But I love dressing up and it's so fun for the kids!  Mark is awesome and it totally willing to dress up in something...as long as it doesn't make him look TOO stupid.  I already have the next 2 years planned for our little family.  :)  I'm pretty proud of our costumes this year.  It was a last minute decision to do this and I was nervous it wasn't going to work because I couldn't find the right color hats.  So I ended up buying white ones from Walmart and getting fabric spray paint and using that - they turned out awesome!  And the mustaches are just made of felt and elastic...SO easy!

The hard part - making the go-karts!  We had a TON of extra boxes from moving and getting car seats and strollers, etc.  So we used those to make the carts and it ended up being awesome!  The worst part was cutting the cardboard.  It would have gone a lot faster if we didn't have to do that - I got blisters on my hands pretty fast from it.  But they look pretty awesome, don't they?

Luckily, the other first grade teacher and the Kindergarten teacher were more than willing to dress up with me for our "safe streets" night where the kids come trick-or-treating at our school.  It was a blast and I love that we were able to use these costumes more than once!  Can't wait to dress up our little girl next year.  :)
