My heart hurts for the tragedy that happened to the children in Newtown today.  I know any teacher would have done anything they could in that situation to protect their students.  I couldn't help but think of my own first grade class when I heard the news this morning.  I am happy to be a teacher and love my job.  I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 11 years old, and every year grow attached to my students.  I will do anything I can to protect them, and am grateful for those teachers who protected their students today.  Hold your little ones closer than ever.  They are sweet spirits and completely innocent.  My tears, thoughts and prayers go towards all families affected by this tragedy.
