If you know me, you know I have to plan things far in advance. Further in advance than normal. I'll put it this way. I got engaged in January, the wedding was completely planned by March, but we weren't getting married until July. Well, that has happened again! Not with getting married (of course) but with planning that far in advance, and now it seems like it is going to be forever until the big day actually comes! I have been dreaming of going on a road trip on the California coast, but I knew it wasn't going to happen unless I planned what, when, and how much. So...I did! And I CAN'T WAIT! I've planned what we are going to do each day and even where we are going to eat (looked up recommendations), how much everything is going to cost. I guess you could say I love planning. Maybe I'm in the wrong profession. I could be a professional planner and be completely happy. My poor husband has to deal with all of my lists around the house, the plans that I have to make in advance...he probably thinks I'm crazy. But I grateful he puts up with me. :) The road trip is going to be at the end of the summer for our 2nd anniversary. And here is what I have to look forward to:
How breathtaking is that?!?! Well, if you can't tell I'm excited. We will start in Santa Cruz, and make our way down to San Diego. And one of the days that I have planned I might be regretting...but it is great motivation to get fit. I wanted to ride bikes along the coast, and many people recommended riding from Monterey to Carmel on the 17 mile drive. It says it is for Beginners/Intermediate...but that's a 25 mile bike ride. We can drop the bikes off in Carmel, but the goal is to ride the 25 miles back to Monterey. We will see if we can get in good enough shape to ride 50 miles. Anyway, I'm excited and I think Mark is sick of me talking about it (it is still 5 months away) so I thought I would type it instead and get it out of my system (at least a little bit of it).
