I know I know...I have been a slacker in posting on this blog, but for my 23rd birthday I got this beauty:
I guess I can no longer use the excuse that I don't have a good camera.
I have the best husband in the world! He spoils me to pieces.
So I would say this birthday was a success. It usually is anyway, but this one was very special.
I was really looking forward to going to The Lorax earlier in the day to use my free ticket for my birthday. When we got there, the line was very long. It was what I was expecting because it was midday and I knew there would be lots of children there. We got there about 10 minutes before the movie was supposed to start (I wanted to get there 30 minutes early for this reason...but I got caught up in figuring out my camera). The person right in front of us got the last 2 tickets! I was so bummed. We went to see The Vow instead. It was good, but I was really looking forward to The Lorax! But we decided to see it on Monday night for our FHE activity :) I am SO excited to see it. I love Dr.Seuss. And The Lorax.
After we saw The Vow, we went to Extravadance with some of our friends, and then went out to eat with the friends. It was a fun time and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world surrounded by a wonderful husband and 4 of my amazing friends, knowing the next day I was going to celebrate with family. I am on lucky girl. Family came over to for dinner and cupcakes! I got to use the super cute cupcake stand that my mom got me for my birthday. Thanks Mom! It is SO cute! It even spins, which makes it 100 times better. Also, I used a homemade frosting recipe. I am never going to buy frosting for cupcakes ever again.
They were DELICIOUS! Then I dipped them in sprinkles, and it made the cupcakes even yummier.
Who doesn't like sprinkles?
Now, don't judge my photos...I am still trying to figure the camera out. It is fun to figure out all of the settings. It has this cool effect where it draws the picture right after you take it. This one is Marks favorite, so I thought that I would put it on the blog just for him.
This is just another reason why I feel like I have the best husband in the world. He puts up with my little OCD habits, the fact that things need to be changed every few months, etc. You get the point. Well, I thought it was time for a change. I saw that this cute bedding was on sale and I had to get it. Personally, I love every thing about it. Obviously it isn't our dream bedroom, but that won't happen for a while. I know it isn't everyone's favorite, but I like it. And Mark liked it too. That is all that matters. :)
It has been a wonderful year, and I am looking forward to another great year with an amazing husband and lots of wonderful things in our future. I am a very lucky girl.
