For Christmas, I got THIS beauty!
Thanks Nora and Scott!!! I have put it to very good use, and plan to do LOTS more with it!
The very first thing that I did was make a small curtain for our front door. There is a small window on the top just right for people to look in. I have always felt very uncomfortable with it, so I couldn't WAIT to make a curtain for it. It is not where near perfect, but it works and that is all that matters. Plus I love the fabric!
After that I had been trying to figure out what I wanted to make next.
We had a relief society activity to learn how to sew a cute changing pad with a pocket to put the wipes and diapers. We were kind of pressed for time, so it doesn't look too great. But here is the result of it. Don't look too closely!
It was so easy to make and Joanne's was having a sale, that I made 4 more! I thought it could be a perfect baby shower gift. Cheap and super easy to make! Plus I can do so much stuff with the scraps. I already have quite a few projects in mind for the scraps. I can't wait to get started!
None of them are any where near perfect...I am still learning.
But I think they turned out pretty cute.
I decided to use a cute cotton fabric w/a fleece fabric this time so the baby has something soft to lay on.
Again, don't look too closely.
This one is my FAVORITE! I think the dinosaurs are SO stinking cute!!!
I loved this butterfly fabric.
Such pretty colors.
I am gave this one to Sara for an early birthday present.
The point is, I don't know much about sewing yet, but I am really loving it!
I am so glad that there are so many tutorials on Pinterest to help teach me how to sew.
