How Bout Them Rangers?!?!

My sister has corrected me...I thought the Rangers went to the World Series in 1994, but apparently they have NEVER been to the world series! (in 1994 the World Series was cancelled because of the strikes). SO...here we are! FINALLY, the Yankees are BEAT and the Rangers are going to the WORLD SERIES!!! I NEVER thought that I would ever say that the Texas Rangers were the best team in Texas...but here we are. And those boys sure do deserve it! They have worked SO hard to get here, and they wiped the Yankees from under their feet and boy was it magnificent. I never enjoyed watching a baseball game as much as I have enjoyed watching the Rangers kill the Yankees. I wanted them to kill the Yankees while they were still in New York, but they had to make them scared and win at home, which I am okay with. I guess Texans have more class to win at home than to rub it in the Yankees faces on their home field. :) I SO wish I was at home right now! The fact that the Rangers are going to the WORLD SERIES! Okay, I can't get over it...but it really makes me miss home! Gosh, I really am getting into it! Since I got married, I have been more into football and baseball than I ever thought I would be! It's pretty awesome...and when you are the only one paying attention to the baseball game on the TV at a very busy Texas Roadhouse in Idaho Falls and they hit a home run and I jump up and scream...it makes it more awesome :)
I grew up going to my brothers baseball games, Rangers, games, and playing baseball (softball). Sometimes I miss softball. Not to brag, but I was pretty dang good. I was one of the better throwers on the team, and we were called the Angels, which I thought was pretty cool. I had always loved Angels :) But seriously, I played catcher, 1st base, and was good at all of it and loved it (it involved little running :) ) until I got hit in the wrist while batting. Nothing happening...in fact I don't even remember crying. But I'm sure I did...being the wimp that I am. But I quit after that. Same thing happened with tennis...I was so good at it, got hit in the lip, and quit. All done! Hah, but back to my point...I have been going to Rangers games since I can even remember! I honestly can say that I don't remember too many times that I have been to a Rangers game and they have won...which is pretty sad. But I sure do know that stadium like the back of my hand. My favorite part was watching Pudge Rodriguez. That is a name that I will never forget :)

Going there with the family, friends, and church was always so much fun. I loved going there with friends the best because we would walk around and look at all of the cute baseball boys ;) It's pretty cool to watch them play on TV about to go to the world series and knowing that they are going to be playing at my home field....SO cool! The Rangers definitely deserve to go to the world series. Much more than the Yankees that is for sure...I am so excited to watch the world series! GO RANGERS! Best part of it all...the last out was to A-ROD!!! He left us and I was mad when that happened...but it's better for us apparently. WOOHOO!
Now on to this wonderful pitcher...Derek Lane Holland. When I first saw him, I thought "he must be about 18 years old." Okay, so he is not quite THAT young, but he is only 24! He is said to be considered the best pitching prospect drafted by the Rangers since the departure of John Danks...in 2006. YAY! Holland, you sure are doing a fine job!
Thank you Rangers, for making my month!!! <3

WooHoo! Go Rangers!!! But what makes it even sweeter is that they've NEVER been to the World Series. (in 1994 the World Series was cancelled because of the strikes) They've only ever played post-season games once, in 1996. And yes, to have ARod be the last out was AWESOME!!! I wish I was in Texas to watch the games. Let's go! ;)
