Hot Hot Hot

Almost right after San Francisco, we drove to Texas with my parents. My parents were driving a car they just bought, and we were driving their other car. It was a really long drive and it makes the drives to Salt Lake seem super short now. Because not only did we drive to Texas, but we drove to San Francisco and back to Salt Lake...then drove to Texas. It was a heck of a lot of driving let me tell ya. But it was worth it because we were in Texas for a good week and a half. And we were still crazy busy EVERY single day! The main reason we were there was for our Open House...which turned out very nice! I had no idea what was going on because my mom was planning it all back at home while I was planning the actual wedding and wedding reception. But it was wonderful. Texas was very HOT! But I didn't want to complain because I knew that I was going to be heading right back to the cold in Rexburg 2 weeks later, so I enjoyed it while I could. But the reception in Texas went very well and I was very pleased with how it turned out. And it was GREAT to see everyone there from back home...man how I have missed everyone so much!
Thank you Megan Stilovitch for taking the beautiful pictures! :)

While we were there...well, I reallllllllly wanted to go to Six Flags. In high school I would go there during the summers and spend the entire days there with my friends! But when I went...it was never as hot as it was when we went. But we were dare devils and went because I wanted to go so badly. And it was still super fun because there were NO lines! Granted it was about 105 degrees outside plus probably 60% humidity......but still. It really wasn't THAT bad because when standing in line...well most of them are inside and air conditioned, at least where the lines are. So it really wasn't horrible...but that coming from me who got heat stroke at Six Flags that day....haha. But it was still awesome and we rode all of the rides that we wanted to ride in a very short amount of time because there were no lines! I was just bummed that I couldn't ride the Titan because I got really sick right before we were going to ride it...but Mark rode it and had a blast :)

Something else that was a MUST DO while we were in Texas was to go to the lake. I was nervous that my dad was going to sell the boat before we had another change to go on it...I wanted Mark to go so bad! Again, it was a VERY hot and humid day. But totally worth it because I got to ski, and I haven't been able to do that in a couple of years. Plus I got a tan...but it's already gone. It was nice while it lasted.
Mark got to ski.......
And guess what?!?! HE GOT UP!!! It didn't take too long! He was a natural!

This is what Mark REALLY wanted to do while he was in Texas....go to a Cowboy's game! So we got online to find some tickets...and the cheapest were like $60 each! But I found some that were $5 each...and we thought it was a scam. But it wasn't, we got them the next day and went to the game and it was phenomenal. That place is gigantic! It was just a pre season game...but it was seriously awesome. I'm not even that big of a football fan, but it was so cool. That screen is seriously as big as the football field. It's huge. It's insane. We were at the very top...but that probably was the best seat because you could see everything....literally.

Even though it was VERY hot and humid in Texas, it was great to spend time with my family and see some good friends. It was a lot of fun and we both had a ton of fun. Thanks mom and dad for partying with us for a week and a half :) I already miss the pool!!!
