We started out the day a little later than we originally
planned, but it ended up just fine. I
didn’t sleep good in that hole in the wall last night, so I am EXTREMEMLY tired
tonight. First we went to church in
Santa Cruz at 11:30
then headed back down to the boardwalk. We were going to go do a few other things on
the boardwalk, but decided we just wanted to go straight to Monterey. In between Santa Cruz and Monterey, we came
across Moss Landing State Beach. There
was even a seal there that let me get a foot away from it!
There were some sea otters there, seals, and lots of seaweed
and birds.
It was a pretty view of the ocean, but cold.
I am excited to get to the warm beaches in San Diego! On our way to Moss Landing, it was so lush
and green. Come to find out that it is
the “Salad Bowl of the World”. After we
were at Moss Landing, we headed down to Monterey, checked into our hotel and
went to Cannery Row and to the Aquarium.
The Aquarium was really neat! There were a ton of different animals to see,
it almost seemed like we were in the ocean with them. It was such a neat experience and I am so
glad that we got to go.
After the Aquarium, we walked around Cannery Row for a bit
then ate dinner at Henry’s BBQ. I
definitely would recommend it, it was delicious, a reasonable price, and they
had such a variety of food. After
dinner, my amazing husband brought us back to the hotel so I could watch the
Bachelorette season finale! Don’t I have
such an amazing husband??? I love him so
much! Tomorrow is our 25 mile bike
ride…wish me luck!
