We left Utah at 6:00 this morning, and got to our hotel in
Sunnyvale, CA around 5:00. I would say
that is pretty good time! We checked in
to our “hotel” and then left to go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for the
night. The hotel wasn’t much of a hotel…it
was more of a dorm room turned into a hotel that has disgusting floor and we
had to pay extra to have a private bathroom.
But it was cheap, and we just needed a place to sleep and shower…so I am
not going to complain. It was a fun
experience staying there, but we tried to get as tired as we could at the
boardwalk at night, so we would go right to sleep when we got back. We succeeded!
We had a blast at the boardwalk.
We rode rides, ate dinner, took lots of pictures, and hung out with some
seals for a bit.
We also had the most delicious funnel cake ever. I want to go back and have another one! Mark got me to ride some rides that I refused to ride…and I have to say, it wasn’t half bad. It was pretty fun and I am glad that we got to do go there and I got to experience that! I love the beach atmosphere and the smell of the ocean. It was a fun night and now the bed feels extremely comfortable, probably because we are both tired. Did I mention that it is a full bed, not even a queen? Hah. Wish us luck.

Tomorrow we are going back to the boardwalk/beach, just for
fun before church. Then we are going to
go to a Santa Cruz ward for church and then headed to Monterey. It is going to be a fun day and I’m looking
forward to the rest of the next 2 weeks in California/Arizona/Nevada with my
amazing husband!
