While I am teaching...that is exactly what I am thinking. If they can't do their 15 minute homework now...oh just wait! Lol, but really...I LOVE my job! Those children are what make my days (usually). And I have truly found out that I am doing EXACTLY what I should be doing! When you love what you do, that is when you know you are doing the right thing...especially when you aren't getting paid much (right now nothing...that's what being a student teacher is all about right?). I recently found out that Children's books are my WEAKNESS as a teacher. We had a book fair at school this week...I'll admit I went a little crazy. But they were AWESOME books for pretty cheap, how could I pass it up?!?! It was like I was young again...I was driving home from Blackfoot (an hour...seemed so long for some reason) after parent/teacher conferences today SO excited to get home and read my books! Did I mention they are ALL childrens books...all picture books. But seriously, who is too old for picture books? I LOVE looking at the wonderful pictures, that is totally my favorite part! Some of the books even made me laugh out loud...which is awesome. I read a "special" book to the kids at the end of the day when they are realllly good...that book is called Walter The Farting Dog...and the whole time I am trying not to laugh! The illustrations are ridiculous and the story is hilarious (probably because it reminds me of my ENTIRE family). I am laughing just thinking about those books. Anyway...I went a little crazy at the book fair, but I must say it was a success and I am more than happy with everything I got. If you ever wonder what to get me for a present for some reason, childrens books or things for my classroom are at the TOP of my list! :) I LOVE BEING A TEACHER!
Some of the cute books I have liked recently (or got at the book fair...probably both):
A pre-med student studying hard to become a doctor! Speaks German. Loves football and basketball and being outside. Loves to cook and invent things and is REALLY good at it!
Summer
A first grade teacher - changing the world one child at a time. Loves the lake, snow skiing, or anything outside! Loves to play or watch any sport. Loves to craft and bake.
