BLACK
- Associated with authority and power
- Implies submission. Priests wear black to signify submission to God.
- Popular in fashion. (It makes people appear thinner.)

- Symbolizes innocence and purity
- Reflects light and is considered a summer color
- Popular in decorating and fashion because it is light, neutral, and goes with everything
- Implies cleanliness, or sterility
RED (after this I am never wearing red again)
- The most emotionally intense color
- Stimulates heartbeat, breathing, and appetite (have you ever noticed that SO many restaurants have red in their logo...think about it.)
- Red clothing gets noticed and makes the wearer appear heavier
- Usually used as an accent in decorating (its true...it's an accent in our future living room)
- Attracts attention - extremely dominant
BLUE
- One of the most popular colors
- Associated with cool temperatures and objects
- Peaceful, tranquil
- Causes the body to produce calming chemicals
- Can be cold and depressing
- Least appetizing color

GREEN
- Symbolizes nature
- The easiest color on the eye and can improve vision
- Calming, refreshing color (People waiting to appear on TV sit in "green rooms" to relax. Hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients) <<>
- Dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth
YELLOW (watch this...it's so bipolar it's insane)
- Commands attention
- Connotes optimism
- People lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies will cry more
- The most difficult color for the eye to take in
- Can be overpowering if overused
- Enhances concentration
- Speeds metabolism
PURPLE
- The color of royalty
- Connotes luxury, wealth, and sophistication
- Feminine and romantic
- Seems "artificial"
- Solid and reliable
- Can be sad and wistful

- Men are more apt to say brown is one of their favorite colors
Interesting huh? And if that isn't random enough....here is a random thought.
Random thought of the day:
I was getting my hair highlighted and noticed how DEAD the ends were - I don't remember the last time I cut my hair - I've been trying to grow it out for the wedding. So, I decided to get it cut to make it grow faster. Now this is what I don't really understand...why do people always tell me that if you trim your hair, it will grow faster? That makes no sense! The hair doesn't grow from the ends, it grows from the roots......so your dead ends will just stay dead until you cut them off, it won't make your hair stop growing. But I got it cut anyway to make it look healthier. It really needed it! But now I miss my long hair....
GOING TO TEXAS THIS WEEKEND! SO excited!!!!!!!

We studied all about colors and food in a psychology class. Like the fact that most fast food chains use yellow and red in their logo/sign as those are appetizing colors. But grocery stores use blue becuase it makes you hungry (Kroger did, Albertson's, Wal-Mart) yet people won't eat blue foods.
My fav is purple.
