An Amazing Weekend

SO...this has been the greatest weekend in a looong time and it was much needed after an insanely stressful week. Mark came up to visit this weekend (not just me...his sister and his friend, Skye, as well). He got in on Saturday, and he sat in the car ALL day because he knew I wanted to go to Yellowstone. It was fun and very beautiful! As it always is. So we took lots of pictures.

This was the last stop of the day. A storm looked like it was coming in and the wind started to pick up, but it was still fun and neat to see! PLUS, because it was about 6:30 p.m., there were no crowds, which was amazing.

It was amazing...but it sure did smell like a stinky fart!

I was SO excited to see the Lake because I have never been to that side of Yellowstone (did I mention that we went all the way around yellowstone...long day. Mark is such a trooper). BUT IT WAS STINKIN' FOZEN STILL!!! And there was still so much snow...it was ridiculous.

There were so many Bison - or Buffalo...what is there difference anyway??? This was a little traffic jam that we ran into. It was pretty funny, and Mark wanted to reach his hand out and spank one and drive off as fast as we could. HAH I laughed, and said no. But it definitely would have been a fun story to tell.

My favorite part of the day - the waterfalls/grand canyon of Yellowstone. GORGEOUS and the sound of waterfalls is amazing. It was beautiful and I loved this stop we made.

We were told that this is the best water fountain in the world. So of course we were excited to drink some water from it. Apparently people come from everywhere and fill up gallons and gallons of water from this drinking fountain - I guess I will have to go back when it is no longer frozen.

What a fun day, even though we were in the car the entire day. It was still beautiful and a fun day with the love of my life and JERICA! Skye was going to come too - but he had too much homework.

But it definitely would have been fun with him there!

Today was the most beautiful day we have had here in a very long time.

It was finally in the 70's. The sun was out and it was nice and warm.

I even got a small sunburn! Mark noticed that my freckles are coming out. :)

After church, we went over to Scott and Sara's for a yummy BBQ lunch!

SO Mark's friends Colter and Skye came with us and we had a lot of fun.

We played baseball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and just hung out!

I love my family and it is so nice to have Scott and Sara and their kids so close!

Thanks Scott and Sara for letting us come by and play today! :) Looking forward to next semester when Mark is always going to be up here and we can party lots!
