I’M ENGAGED!!!! FINALLY!!! To the most AMAZING guy in the entire world and I have never been happier!!!
Then we got home and he told me that he needed to borrow my computer, so I went upstairs to get my computer and when I turn on the light, I heard the door of my apartment slam…which means that he left. I just figured he went to the bathroom or something. SO when I look in my room with the light on…I see beautiful flowers and a card. I open the card and the card was basically him telling me how much he loved me and wants to spend the rest of my life with me and in a box is said, “Come what may, and love it” (hint hint).Of course I didn’t get the hint…I guess I just didn’t read it close enough. But I never ever ever get his hints. So I came downstairs, looked for him and put the flowers on the kitchen table. Then I went upstairs to ask my roommate, Cassie, if she put the flowers in my room. She said no, Mark’s sister, Jerica put them in my room. Then she told me that there was another note that I was supposed to find behind a plaque on top of the fireplace. The plaque is a quote from Joseph B. Wirthlin, “Come what may, and love it.” Finally everything made sense! So I look behind the plaque and I find a temple recommend holder (I’ve been wanting one for a while now) and there was a note on that, which said, “meet me where you can use this. I’ll be waiting”. By then I knew that it was coming…but I didn’t want to walk all the way to the temple! Silly me…I should have known I had the car, that’s why he gave ME the keys after our date. It all made sense! So I start walking outside and my neighbor/friend, Kelsey Hansen, came out and asked me what I was doing. She told me to go to the temple, because he was waiting for me! I already knew that, I was just nervous. SO I called him and asked him if I needed to walk…and he told me to drive and I got there and he was standing there. I park and walk toward him and the first thing I say is, “what are you doing out here? It’s freezing!”…and it was. So he grabs my hand and takes me in front of the temple and tells me how much I mean to him. He started to cry! I couldn’t believe it, he doesn’t know how to cry! IT WAS AWESOME! Then he kneels down on one knee and I started to cry, so it was all a little blurry to me…buuttttt he asked me to marry him and I nodded and said yes!!!!!! As he was kneeling down, his sister was driving away! She was in the parking lot the whole time…but how cute is that?!?! He had already sized the ring…I was SO excited! I really did want him to size the ring…even if I told him I didn’t care. I wanted to wear it and show it off once I got it! So I cried and called everyone and cried some more and that’s how he proposed and how my amazing day went!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better day, a better fiancé, or a better proposal. It was amazing, I was surprised (which I think he was nervous that I wasn't going to be) and it was just perfect!!! We are getting married on July 31, 2010 in the Salt Lake City temple!!!!
